Scorpion Stings
If you have been stung by a scorpion and are a healthy adult you should be able to treat yourself at home.
- First, wash the affected area with soap and water.
- Elevate the affected limb, or settle yourself comfortably to rest.
- Apply a cold compress to the affected area.
- Take over the counter medication to help with the pain.
The elderly and the young are the most susceptible to scorpion stings. They can show rapid eye movement, or jerky body movements. It is recommended to seek medical attention.
